Merge proposal
[edit]I propose merging Pointcut into Aspect-oriented programming. I believe that pointcuts are only relevant insofar as AOP, and there is no information in the page on pointcuts that would not be better suited to the page on AOP itself (WP:MERGEREASON).
Furthermore, I worry that there is an excess of information, to the extent that Wikipedia's coverage of AOP as a paradigm reads more like a tutorial (WP:NOTHOWTO); and that AOP is just not particularly notable, either in the practical software engineering world or as a mathematical/computer science curiosity, to merit such detailed coverage of its theory (WP:N).
